busy work

like i've been saying, i'm not getting much accomplished these days. i don't have a good excuse.

so here's what i've been up to. (too many irons in the fire, i think).

my first sewing attempt:

Simplicity New Look 6574

i've started christmas knitting: (gasp)

Colleen Stocking

more socks, of course:

the ubiquitous monkey

i'm determined to finish the scarf that never ends. it's been languishing in the wip pile far too long.

you guessed it, it's this

i'd be remiss if i didn't acknowledge the lovely and amazing gift that m's sister and her husband sent me for christmas. along with a subscription to the fabulous Craft Magazine and toys for shorty, they sent me this beautiful yarn:

1427 Iguana

which is well on its way to becoming Ivy.

these photos are from last week. i'm nearly done the back. i love the flecks of yellow and the dark olive.

thanks a+g.

whew. now that i've exposed my wip pile, i must admit that i'm also working on a poncho by request for my mom and a plain ol' pair of socks for me. i think it's time to focus on a few projects and maybe get some things finished.
