Ivy now has buttons. Or, more accurately, today I bought buttons for Ivy. The sweater itself remains in approximately the same state as yesterday. One shoulder is seamed and part of the neckband is done. The finishing up is even more tedious than I anticipated and I'm sort of making a mess of things. But maybe a few hours of Coronation Street tomorrow morning will encourage me to finish it up (as I wait for somebody to finally give Charlie what he deserves!).

Today turned out to be a beautiful day. Downright hot, even. No signs that it snowed a couple of times this past week. Since I've been doing little else but complaining about the weather, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for a trip to the beach. The snow and ice are finally all gone and the water is starting to take on its summer tones. The sand was pleasantly warm and while the water was warm enough to dip my toes in, it will be a little while longer before ocean swimming is an option.

There were a few kids playing in the sand, getting an early jump on sand castle building

I'm always a little bit surprised how the beach changes with the seasons.

A little PEI right here in NS

Molly had fun
