They say it's your birthday
It's my birthday too, yeah
They say it's your birthday
We're gonna have a good time
I'm glad it's your birthday
Happy birthday to you
...
I would like you to dance
Take a cha-cha-cha-chance
I would like you to dance
Dance yeah

So, erm, yeah, today is my birthday. And what birthday would be complete without a little Beatles. It is me, after all.

Quite frankly, I'm sort of glad to see the back side of 26. The past year has had its share of ups and downs, heavy on the downside. Despite my half serious complaints to M. that 27 is old (I know it's not, really), this year is shaping up well so far (even if it is only nine hours old): I have a very promising prospect for a job (not my dream job, necessarily, but I think that it will allow me to figure out what it is that I really want to be doing); I recently spent two very nice weeks in Ottawa (more on that one of these days, for now you can take a peek at the trip in photos, if you like); I nearly have a FO to show (Ivy's still waiting for the buttons to be sewn on); I whipped up a new banner last night (I'm still getting a hang of the text formatting); the sun is finally shining today and summer's here.
So, today I'm going to think good thoughts (or at least I'm going to try), do some yoga, listen to my new cds, bake a cake, do some knitting, and look around on flickr.
Enjoy the last hours of spring. I'll be back soon with more about my trip to Ottawa.

i see you got my celebrity girlfriend's new cd. good choice. (in case you didn't know which one, it's that dreamy lefty ms. barber).
happy birthday sis, i'll be talking to you this evening.
Haha. She is great, isn't she. I used to pretend that JP and I were friends, as there was a stretch of a couple of months where I would see him every couple of weeks around Halifax. Sigh.
Happy Birthday Meaghan! Many happy returns for the day and the upcoming year. 27 is gonna be lucky for you, I can feel it in my creaky, thirty-something bones! Good luck with promising job prospect and take time to do something nice for yourself. Love the new banner, nicely done!
Happy B-Day a day late Meggie! Hope 27 treats you well.
