Two weeks later and I still can't get my brain out of vacation mode. Blame it on the heat.
I had a great time in Halifax and it was so good to spend time with friends that I don't often see. The week went by so quickly, though. Re-entry back into work and usual drab routine has been less than smooth and I'm already waiting for my next week of vacation.
Some of the highlights from my busier than normal past few weeks:
:: warm summer breezes
:: days on end of sunshine
:: bonfire with my oldest friend who's home visiting for a couple of weeks
:: free outdoor concert with some fabulous musicians
:: smell of neighbours' barbeques wafting in through open windows
:: bursts of productivity wherein I managed to make four blinds and a set of curtains for the neglected windows of my apartment
:: drinks with friends
:: swimming in the ocean
:: seeing two good friends tie the knot (although nobody actually tied any knots)
:: staying up late
:: sushi
:: getting all dressed up
:: cold beer
:: coming home from work to find the yarn that I ordered in my mailbox
:: salt and vinegar kettle chips
:: new glasses
:: soba noodles
:: first batch of local strawberries
What have you been up to?

Sounds like you are having a delicious summer so far! Your list is absolutely scrumptious, I want to jump in my car and drive East until I reach the ocean.
Those blinds you whipped up are frickin' awesome, I'm particularly digging the retro circles fabric. Nicely done!
As usual I suck and am waaaaay late with gettin' your now very belated birthday gift together and outta here. It'll happen. Thanks for bearing with me.
Looking forward to your next post!
