we're gonna build something this summer*
The first half of summer has been unusually busy for me - what with the traveling, socializing, and various other activities. Definitely a change from my normal boringness. This week marked the end of that busyness (I think, I hope). I went away for work for a few days, and also got to have dinner and drinks with friends, which makes last Sunday seem like it was weeks ago. I also did something pretty high on the stupid scale this week, which makes me feel kind of nauseous every time I think about it. Oy.
So, I'm glad to see the end of the week and must admit that I'm sort of glad to see August arrive. I know it'll probably be sweltering hot, but I'll be sticking closer to home, will have another week of vacation nearer to the end of the month and get to hang out with family at my grandma's 80th birthday party. Although the next couple of weeks are likely to still be a bit hectic on the work front, I'm hoping that during August I can cross some things off my to do list (which is quite long at the moment). I've got no fewer than six knitting projects on the go, according to my ravelry page. There is an equal or greater number of books in my half-finished pile. The apartment is still a disaster area and in need of some major organization. If I don't get a jump on all this during August and September, it'll be a lost cause come November and December (plus with all the goodness in these previews, I'll likely need some room in my ravelry queue).
So here's to an August full of trips to the beach, finished books, and completed crafts. And more photo taking (today will mark the halfway point for my insanity Project 366).
Hopefully I'll still manage to show up in this space with the same frequency of the past few weeks.
(*This is one of the best albums I've heard in a long time. The reviews were right.)
