ch-ch-changes
The time change this weekend really threw me for a loop. I'm so very grateful for daylight as I get ready for work, but was wholly unprepared when I left work yesterday at 5:00 pm and it was completely dark. The crisp air and crunchy leaves part of autumn that is so lovely was replaced this week with our first snowfall on Sunday. Snowy, grey, short days are an all too real reminder that winter is just around the corner. But, it is November after all. I can hardly believe it, but there you go. The weather forecast promises temperatures in the mid-teens for the next few days, but I'm working on a hat and mitts because it will be snowing again before we know it.
The seemingly abrupt onset of winter-y weather, combined with general work chaos, has severely diminished my energy. I'm trying my best to get back on track with my vitamin and supplement taking, but know full well that it will take a few weeks before I see any real effects. And I don't suppose that chocolate chip cookies count as health food? I also need to get serious about reintroducing yoga back into my life, as I can easily identify two or three different health complaints that I know are a direct result of my current stress levels.
Clearly some changes are in order.
Since, I've been following it fairly closely, I can't help but mention the monumental election south of the border today. Hoping that Americans get the change that we Canadians missed out on a few weeks ago. As a political junkie, I'll be settling in with my knitting tonight to watch the results.
For now, I should get back to my cleaning. I've got to make room for a new to me couch.

You use whole wheat flour, right? That's gotta make those cookies healthy.
Also, have you seen the picture of John McCain that they have on CNN.com?

CNN is evil but it's the best results website I can find.
