should

Right now, I should be working on a self-assessment for work that's due tomorrow. I really suck at self-assessments. Not great at saying good things about myself, but pretty darn good at being overly critical. Hence, the avoidance.

I want to tell a bit about our trip to the sugar bush last week to see how one local company produces maple syrup, but I think I'll save that for another day.

I'd love to be able to tell you that I saw a great movie, but since the damn theatre in this town refuses to show any of the new releases that I want to see, and instead produces some rather questionable offerings, I have no recommendations to pass along. I'm bitter about this, yes. One of the most frustrating things about living in a small town is the lack of options.

Anyway, I don't really have a point, I guess. I haven't done much knitting during the past few weeks, but I feel the need to clear a few projects off the needles. I'm also itching to break out the sewing machine. Last weekend, after dropping M. back at the airport, I was feeling sorry for myself and decided that maybe a little pick me up was in order. I indulged, perhaps a little too much, and bought the Alabama Stitch Book, which I've been coveting for some time. All of the projects in the book are stunning, and their beautiful website offers all sorts of inspiration.

Spring is definitely in the air and I'm eager to start some new projects.

But first to finish this darn assessment, because somehow I don't think saying, 'I'm awesome,' will cover it.

Just popping in to say "hello" and mention that it's always a treat to read a new post on Tangle.

Guess that self-assessment is long gone now. Good riddance, I can't stand doing them either. Amazingly I've only had to fill out a measly TWO assessments in 20 odd years of working part-time and full-time. Don't know how that's possible, but it's true. On that note, I should consult with my "team" and see if we need to do evaluations around here - the cats are definitely slacking off. Maybe an assessment will whip them into shape. Yeah, whatever.

Sorry about the crappy selection of movies where you are right now. Hope that changes soon. Come and visit us, we'll go on an inter-city/province movie binge.

Alabama Stitch Book! I'm jealous! I've been coveting that book BIG TIME but am fully aware that my sewing non-skills aren't ready yet. Soon, soon. Can't wait to see what you sew. And knit. And think. And do. (Ok, it sounds like I'm obsessively blog-stalking you, but it's not as creepy as it sounds. Seriously.)

Take care and enjoy these fleeting days of Spring. Good weather and times are ahead.
