fallin' for fall

101/365.2

At the beginning of each season it's easy for me to convince myself that that season is my favourite. The first snowfall? Winter and me are BFFs. The first day it's warm enough to swim at the beach? Summer and I will never get sick of each other. And spring? Well, after those long, cold months with far too little day light, spring is embraced with wide open arms.

Maybe I'm just fickle. And maybe it's that first blush of a new season. But I'm going out on a limb and declaring autumn as my favourite season. I love wool, and baking, and Thanksgiving, and the smell of wood stoves in the air. I love not sweating as I walk down the street, I love sweaters and hot chocolate. I might not be so crazy about the dwindling daylight, but I sure love the change in the tones of light in the fall.

So, to celebrate my crush on fall, I've decided to join Poppytalk's Autumn Colour Week. I can't promise to make it to this space every day, but I'll add my contributions to the flickr pool.

In case you couldn't tell, Monday is yellow.

Hello fall!

Hope to see you filling up this space more regularly, though I'm not one to talk.

Mmmmm, fall.

I wholeheartedly second Matthew's comment. As always, gorgeous photos and prose.

More servings of 'tangle' please!
