giving thanks

happy thanksgiving to all my family and friends in canada.

after a hectic and draining week, i'm surprised to be thankful that i'm back in SB. two days of delayed flights, sleeping in airports, and trips to customs makes me not want to travel for a long time. but good things, things which i'm very thankful for, happened this week: i got my work permit (finally) and i'll be working in the states until mid-december; i got to see my brother for the first time since may; and sweater weather, which means prime knitting weather, is here (if only the house wasn't so cold).

we had planned on having thanksgiving dinner for all of the canadians we know, who have been more than generous and kind since we arrived here. and then our oven broke. and our landlord hasn't been able to fix it yet. and rescheduling became difficult since it's mid-term week at the university, followed by mid-semester break. so, thanksgiving dinner will be more like late october dinner but we'll be able to have everyone over and relax and say thanks.

sorry, i still don't have any pictures, this week threw all my plans out of whack. i'm hoping to return to regularly scheduled programming this week.

oh, was anyone watching Veronica Mars this week? oh, how i've missed that quick-witted detective. i completely missed the second season since, after airing season one, a certain canadian network opted not to show season two.

coherent thoughts and knitting content coming soon.

Megster, I'm glad that you're safe and sound back at..well I won't say home but there. Atleast now you won't become an illegal alien. Speaking of knitting sweaters, two of my aunts have knit the baby gorgeous sweaters that I have to show you. You certainly could give them a run for their money.
love, mich
