where to begin

It's been a hectic summer -- sometimes sad, sometimes happy, sometimes just so. And I've been feeling sort of quiet and reflective, dealing with the good and not so good on their own terms. But, autumn is most definitely in the air, and I'm feeling a bit refreshed, so hello!

While a lot has happened over the past couple of months, for now I want to share a few photos from our trip to PEI a couple of weeks ago. I was honoured to get to take part in my lovely cousin's wedding, to visit their beautiful home, and make a long-awaited return one of my favourite provinces (we used to go every summer, but it's been at least fifteen years since I was last on the Island). The couple was lucky enough to have a weekend of sunshine, mild weather, and showed us all one hell of a good time.

Most of these photos were taken on or near their property, which they've transformed since moving in late last fall. They've encouraged us to come back and next time I definitely won't wait so long to visit again.

I did take quite a few photos of the wedding itself, but with my aunt's camera (as the mother of the bride, she asked that I make sure she had lots of photos of the ceremony). When I get some copies from her, I'll see if there are any I can share.

Congratulations again, A&B.
