confessions of a slacker
i've been having a hard time getting my act together lately. i think i need someone to confiscate my television. seriously. and i don't think that all of the gray and slightly cold weather is helping. i'd really like to bake cookies, but our oven is broken -- still. i'm not bitter.
some creature comforts are helping with the change of seasons. on sunday, m and i took a walk downtown and had hot chocolate here. and after a lot of searching, i found these. i'm still looking for cherry blasters, and am increasingly worried that they've been discontinued. (leave it to me to be upset when i can't find candy.)
i did finally manage to get a picture of one FO. these are Fetching from the Summer '06 issue of Knitty.
my apologies for the poor photo. it's been cloudy and black is just difficult to photograph. i used some patons classic merino that i had in the stash. i might have made the hand a bit longer, but otherwise they're perfect for fall/spring. they knit up quickly and i can see these becoming a gift knit.
i've been chugging along on my knitting, but can't show any photos right now, as most of it has been gifts. i do have a few things for myself that are close to completion that have been on the needles for way to long. so over the next couple of weeks i'm going to try and get them finished up, with photos as they get bound off.

Oh Meaghan, did you have to mention your cookies. I miss them so.......those longs days at WE when the bag of cookies in the drawer was my only hapiness. I've made cookies a few times in the past few months, but I can never get them to turn out quite as yummy as yours.
