No time for a proper post today as I spent the morning futzing around with my camera. It feels good to spend time taking photographs of whatever strikes my fancy, even if it comes at the expense of the cleaning or something that seems more 'productive'. So, for today, I leave you with some of the fruits of this morning's labour.
I was playing around with focus/depth of field since I've found that many of my favourite photos lately on flickr have had a certain softness to them. I was sure that this was a product of fancy pants SLRs, but rather belatedly I realised how a similar effect could be achieved with a point and shoot. Yay for manual focus.
{These are mittens for M. My first stranded/colourwork project. Do you like the colours, M.? (more in focus shots on flickr & ravelry)}

Meg, I'm tres jealous of your camera skills - I need to dig out my manuals and give it a try again. Did you start a 365 project? I'm attempting one....I'm hoping to post on flicker what I have so far over the weekend.
