Dear Spring
Dear Spring,
Please stop toying with my affections. One day I'm promised sun, above zero temperatures, and the sweet smell of everything thawing. The next day, you let that bully winter take over and temperatures are back down well below zero and it's snowing. A lot. Today you've put on your big kid pants and are offering up sunshine with a side of thawing. But tomorrow it's supposed to snow. Spring, why must you tease me so? I'm really looking forward to the end of winter boots, salt stained pants, and days on end without snow. Spring, I don't care that you bring pollen and leave me sneezing, I really don't. I've had enough of the heavy coats and hats and mitts, I want spring shoes and jaunty scarves.
Spring, if I promise not to complain anymore, will you come out for good? You see, I'm feeling like this again, and I could really use your help. The sunshine alone isn't enough. Can you please stand up to winter and tell it that we've had enough? I know we've been lucky compared to others and I know you're technically not allowed out for a few more days, but could cookies and milk change your mind? Or perhaps if I share my Easter Creme Eggs?
Thanks in advance,
Meaghan
PS. I even changed the banner to something a bit more seasonal in an effort to make you feel welcome.
